Girl in White Kimono The third in my series of Japanese girls in traditional kimono and yukata. Once again, I had no reference model to work from, the kimono, face and hair were all done by studying various shots and poses of those subjects. Beause of that, there is a lack of shading on the face that I find makes it look slightly flat. Light and shading on the human face is quite complex and I haven't gotten confident enough yet to tackle this area unless I'm working from a photograph. |
